MONTGOMERY COUNTY WOMEN’S CENTER

The Montgomery County Women’s Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a United Way agency whose mission is to lead the effort in preventing Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault through crisis intervention, assistance, advocacy, empowerment and social change. Services include a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, transitional housing, advocacy, counseling, legal and community outreach.

At MCAS we are dedicated to engaging the hearts, hands, and minds of the community to help animals in Montgomery County. As such, we are devoted to the humane, efficient, high quality care of animals in our shelter. Our vision is to be the nationally recognized model of excellence in animal care and placement where humane organizations throughout the United States see MCAS as the beacon of best practices dedicated to delivering humane, efficient and high-quality service. In addition, we long to see the day when shelter killing no longer exists.

MEMORIAL HERMANN IN THE PINK OF HEALTH

Funds from the In The Pink of Health are allocated to three primary areas – education, technology and community outreach for the Breast and Bone Center at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands. Proceeds provide for breakthroughs in technology through the purchase of new equipment, free mammograms for underserved women and educational materials to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients and their families.

Meals on Wheels Montgomery County is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit. Every dollar stays local to serve Montgomery County to provide home delivered meals and transportation services to the homebound elderly in Montgomery County.

BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA

The Boy Scouts of America is the largest Scouting organization in the United States of America and one of the largest youth organizations in the United States, with more than 2.4 million youth participants and nearly one million adult volunteers. The BSA was founded in 1910 and, since then, more than 110 million Americans have been participants in BSA programs at some time. The BSA is part of the international Scout Movement and became a founding member organization of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1922.

TEXAS MARINE MEDAL OF HONOR FUND

The Texas Marine Medal of Honor Memorial is located in The Woodlands, TX. It honors the acts of heroism and sacrifice of Marine Medal of Honor recipients who enlisted in or were born in the State of Texas. The Texas Marines Medal of Honor Monument was erected to further recognize, commemorate and pay tribute to the selfless acts of valor of those fearless Texas Marines who went above and beyond the call of duty while defending freedom. Major proceeds go to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation.

NATIONAL COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATE ASSOCIATION

The National Court Appointed Special Advocate Association, together with its state and local member programs, supports and promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy so every abused or neglected child in the United States can be safe, have a permanent home and the opportunity to thrive. The National CASA Association and our network of nearly 1,000 local community programs support volunteers serving children. The role of local CASA programs is to recruit, train and support these volunteers in their work with abused children.
