Chief Compliance Officer
Roland Thornton, our Chief Compliance Officer, has worked in the Financial Services industry for over 25 years. With a careful eye, he holds the task of overseeing and ensuring that the company and its employees are complying with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
Roland has extensive experience in all aspects of the business. He began his career as a Registered Representative, assisting clients with their retirement planning. As the Director of Portfolio Management, Roland consulted with several of the top analysts in the industry to design the firms’ investment platform. Now as Chief Compliance Officer, he uses his thorough knowledge of the business to maintain Rhame & Gorrell’s compliance culture and standards.
Roland attended the University of Arkansas and Sam Houston State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, and has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation.
In his spare time, Roland enjoys watching soccer and working on guitars. He and his wife Aimee have been married since 2001.
Fun Fact: Roland has served his community as a volunteer firefighter and once played hockey with Wayne Gretzky.
