Wealth Manager

Tyler Miller joined the Rhame & Gorrell Wealth Management team in the spring of 2020 and serves as a Wealth Manager. Tyler works with affluent individuals and families, helping clients navigate complex financial decisions and develop strategies designed to help them build, preserve, and ultimately transition their wealth. He specializes in comprehensive financial planning and investment management, with a particular emphasis on integrating tax considerations into each client’s overall financial strategy.

As a Certified Public Accountant, Tyler brings a tax-focused perspective to wealth management and serves as an in-house resource for the firm on tax-related matters. His background allows him to look beyond individual investment or planning decisions and consider how those decisions fit into the broader financial and tax picture. Tyler enjoys working through complex financial situations and helping clients turn complicated concepts into clear, actionable decisions.

Tyler grew up in The Woodlands area and attended the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio on a full academic and athletic scholarship. As a student-athlete, he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Finance, concentrated in financial planning. He went on to earn his Master of Science in Accounting (MSA), graduating with Distinction. After graduate school, Tyler began his career with Deloitte in its corporate tax group before transitioning into wealth management, where he found a greater passion for working directly with individuals and families. Tyler holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), and Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designations.

Outside of work, Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife and young son and making the most of his time outdoors. He is an avid boater and wake surfer and enjoys spending weekends on the water with family and friends. He also enjoys hunting, trail riding, and cooking—particularly spending time around the smoker and experimenting with barbecue. Tyler’s competitive background as a student-athlete continues to influence his approach to both work and life, and he enjoys staying active and finding new challenges outside of the office.

Fun Fact: Tyler played baseball for 5 years at the University of the Incarnate Word, and pitched against No. 7 University of Texas in a 3-2 victory, one of the program’s biggest wins. He was also a part of the team that beat No. 23 Texas A&M in the same year.
